I’m watching AMC and realizing that there is a huge lost opportunity with the s/l. Instead of bringing on Marissa who at this point adds very little to the s/l, I would have brought on Frank’s long lost son William. Instead of having some lame story with Frankie being injured in Iraq, I would have had him intertwined with Jake and Amanda (friends) and he would have a s/l of his own with his son. Remember Frankie knew about William back in 2002 but agreed with Mia to let the boy live his life with his adoptive parents. Why would this make a difference…well…let me share.

William would not only be related to Frankie but also to Liza, Jesse, Natalia, Randi and Angie. Marissa is related to..David and Krystal. William could be a love interest for Colby and maybe bff with Petey which now makes the interaction count 8 and Marissa…still at 2.
Could you imagine poor Randi with a teenage step-son who’s hunted down his biological father? What are we being served? Marissa trying to save David’s soul by filling in for Babe (who by the way hated David at the time of her death). YAWN. Marissa is supposed to be the love puppy that tears apart Scott and JR. Scott hasn’t really been defined on screen yet and JR sniffing after Babe’s long lost sister is kind of lame. Maybe they are trying a Kitty/Kelly type of thing but it won’t work because, well Agnes Nixon wrote the show then and she had vision.
I just think that Frankie, Randi and Marissa are very flat characters and at least with my idea Frankie and Randi would have something better to do than bore us for an hour. JMHO.
